Elderberry

Every year Hans goes on an elderberry foraging trip: in the dunes near IJmuiden, by the Frisian dike in Holwerd, and around his mother's house in Bielefeld. He then makes elderberry jam and jelly from them. With its dark purple colour, it's delicious on sandwiches and in yoghurt. That's why he also wanted to make a distillate from his favourite elderberry. And now we have it: a fragrant and deep purple elderberry schnapps (40%).
