Our story

Brewing and distilling is an age-old craft. In the past, people did not distill to create luxury, but to preserve what had value. Fruit that was too ripe to eat, but at the peak of its flavor, was fermented and distilled. In this way, the essence was preserved — for the winter, for later.

That philosophy still forms the core of what we do. Fijn Gestookt is a small-scale artisanal distillery based in Bunschoten-Spakenburg. We work with locally sourced, carefully selected fruit, often from old orchards or trees that have been growing for generations. Fruit that is surplus or sometimes no longer suitable for the fresh market, but bursting with aroma and character. Instead of being wasted, it gets a second life with us.

What nature provides determines what we make. No fixed vintages, no unlimited volumes. Each season tells its own story — in aroma, taste, and texture.

We have the entire production process in our own hands, and this contributes to our high/premium quality. Our distillates and liqueurs are not drinks to be consumed thoughtlessly. They are high-quality taste experiences, made to be smelled and tasted, to pause and reflect. Before or after dinner. For enthusiasts/connoisseurs who are curious about taste, balance, and finesse.
