Quince

These quinces come from Werther in Westphalia, Germany. There stands a large manor farm with many old quince trees. In October 2025, Hans drove past here. The harvest that year was so exceptionally good that the farmer's wife thanked him for wanting to take 200 kilos to process into schnapps. The quince smells fresh and sweet-sour at the same time; think of a combination of apple, pear, and lime. And that is also reflected in the distillate with 40% alcohol.
